During my last painting trip to the Hudson valley (one post below), I picked up the piece that I'd made this summer, the oil paint drying in the meantime. It's a nice field of sparkling wildflowers set with rolling hills and a gray sky. I'm glad to have it back, it's a perfect reminder of the other side of winter. I'm aiming to paint this field in several seasons, so here's the summer version from 7/2/15.
