A short hike along Agawamuck Creek in Philmont, New York leads to High Falls, the largest waterfall in Columbia County. This work painted in late October 2015, during peak foliage depicts the bottom half of the falls.

7/2/15

Painted on 10/12/15 on the south edge of The Pond in Central Park (near 100th st. West Side).
I shared this perfect autumn day with fellow painter Ari Lankin, who created a superb piece at The Pond too. Days don't come much better than this.
20 x 23 inches, oil on canvas.

The Point of Rocks separates the ocean side from the river side of the Westport estuary.
20" x 10"
Oil on Canvas

This pictures an island in Westport River made of little more than a half dozen trees and flat boulders. Grass shoots up through a silt and gravel shore that recedes entirely at high tide, finishing the painting.
